Ingredients to make Sonho de bisnaguinha:
175 milliliters of whole milk
12 grams of cornstarch
2 yolks
½ tablespoon of butter
3 tablespoons of sugar
½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
6 bisnaguinha buns
frying oil
icing sugar to finish
How to make Sonho de bisnaguinha:
Let's start by preparing the confectioner's cream. To do this, gather the ingredients properly measured and separated, as in the photo.
In a bowl, mix the cornstarch in a little milk (just enough to dissolve it and not lump it later). Also add the yolks and mix well. Reserve.
In a saucepan, mix the remaining milk, sugar and butter.
Heat this mixture of milk, sugar and butter until it boils.
As soon as it boils, remove from heat and gradually add to the mixture of milk with starch and egg yolks that we prepared earlier. Stir non-stop with each addition.
Return the mixture to the pan and heat it until it thickens - this step is very quick! Always stir so as not to stick to the bottom of the pan.
Add vanilla extract, mix and turn off heat. Leave the cream to cool.
While the confectioner's cream cools, let's fry the bisnaguinhas.
Heat a pan with enough oil to fry the bisnaguinhas. Don't let the oil get too hot! Place one tube at a time and rotate with the help of a fork to brown on all sides.
Tip: This step is also quick and you should only fry the bisnaguinha until golden - if you go beyond that, it can have a burnt taste.
Remove excess oil, wait to cool and cut the tube in half.
Place the confectioner's cream in the center of the bisnaguinha, which should already be warm or cold.
Tip: If you have a icing tip you can use it to give a nice finish to the cream filling. If everything is not ok, do as we do and fill using a spoon.
Finish by sprinkling confectioner's sugar and that's it, you can enjoy your dreams of bisnaguinhas!
